Dance for balance, Mobility and Expression

The Delta Public Library will be holding a workshop on Monday’s and Wednesday’s, August 5th-21st from 1:00-3:00pm.

Gain confidence in balance and mobility and enjoy free expression of movement. This adult program is specially crafted for aging population to learn fun and safe movement. These 2-hour workshop sessions include fundamentals of Dance, Sequencing to increase memory, chair yoga, relaxation and built in breaks to share conversation, watch selected on-screen dance clips and enjoy snacks.

Learn techniques which can enable you to walk taller with more confidence and grace, as well as to unwind tension for the body. No prior dance experience needed.

On August 21st at 1:30pm, participants will demonstrate dances they have learned during the month. Friends and family are invited to join us for this recital and post reception.

Instructor Ann Heckler holds a bachelor of Arts Degree and is a certified teacher through the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. She is an outreach dance teacher at the Toledo Ballet, an experienced yoga instructor, and also teaches specialized movement and chair yoga at the Promedica Forever Fit in Toledo.
